"Come to Me all who are weary and burdened & I will give you rest." -Matthew 11:28
I must ask for grace this month as it is going to be really short. I've had a lot going on recently and I'm not able to dedicate the time to this devotion that I would like.
I need this verse right now. I need to know that Jesus can carry these heavy burdens. They are not too much for Him.
When I painted this, I was thinking of things that bring me comfort in the fall. What is something that brings you comfort?
Lately, these things have not brought their usual comfort- my brain and body are too overwhelmed by a heavy heart. I'm too tired to paint or light a candle or even make a cup of tea.
I'm having to take extra steps to help my body get through the day- and it is exhausting.
If you find yourself exhausted this month- take some time to just breathe. I have a bad habit of holding my breath when I get stressed. Those around me seem to continually remind me to breathe.
I confess I don't have words of encouragement tonight, but what I do have is Jesus. He can handle whatever you're going through. He has words of encouragement. He is not weary and He can carry you through whatever it is you're walking in. He doesn't get tired. He welcomes you every moment you turn to face Him.
So, weary traveler, go to Him all who are weary and burdened & He can give you rest.

I’m looking forward to your new beautiful calendar!! Love you
